Amy White
Master Teacher
Amy is a Provo native with more than 20 years of teaching experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a master’s degree in teacher education from Brigham Young University. Amy began her career teaching kindergarten and first grade in the Nebo School District and has spent the past 18 years teaching at the BYU Child and Family Studies Laboratory. She is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where each child feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow at their own pace. She is also deeply committed to fostering the development of the next generation of early childhood educators and instilling best practices that emphasize a whole-child approach to learning. One of her fondest joys was being a kindergarten teacher to each of her six children at BYU. Amy commits to giving every student the same care, attention, and focus she gave to her own children.
